JAMES G. MARTINThe PREVENE Group is led by James G. Martin. With 21 years as a federal prosecutor,
serving most recently as the United States Attorney for the Eastern District
of Missouri, Jim's unique ability to understand how a corporate fraud prosecutor
thinks provides The PREVENE Group perspective. As a federal prosecutor, Jim
investigated and tried many of the Eastern District’s most complex white-collar
and corporate fraud cases, including those conducted under the auspices of
the Department of Justice’s Corporate Fraud Task Force. While United
States Attorney, he oversaw the office’s efforts in white-collar prosecutions,
including its corporate and health care fraud cases. His career has provided
him the big picture exposure to securities litigation, government regulatory
and enforcement actions, corporate compliance and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Jim
also has and the experience of working in the trenches examining boxes of records
related to criminal investigations. Through his many years of government service
he
also has developed strong working relationships with federal prosecutors in
the United States Attorney's Offices around the country and the Department
of Justice.
